Tasting notes for the 2004 Brunello di Montalcino by the Wine Cask Blog

We have found this review in the most popular wine blog Wine Cask:

Tasting notes:

Beautiful black cherry, earth, and sweet spice on the nose

Full bodied on the palate

Long finish with cherry, savory herbs, and sweet tobacco

This Brunello is very good, nicely layered, and youthful. With sweet and savory dancing across the palate, it has all the complexity and character I expect from a Brunello which is the hightest expression of the Sangiovese grape in Italy. The retail price runs around $65 or so. Raise a glass!
