What more could you ask for? 2005 Brunello di Montalcino by Tenuta Il Poggione

Herewith is the translation of tasting notes by one of Italy's most important sommeliers, Andrea Gori. He has tasted the wine in February of the 2010.

Perfect, impeccable color, with an enchanting and refined nose, with everything Brunello must have: wilted violet and lavender, brandy-cured cherry, balsamic and spicey notes, with tertiary aromas just beginning to reveal themselves. In the mouth, still slightly bristly but with full, convincing tannin and remarkable balance in a wine that will enchant the drinker after the summer but is already approachable, rewarding the taster with incredible pleasure. Drinkable and full-bodied and at the same time elegant.

What more could you ask for?
