In the beginning of this week the bad weather that has hit Italy with rainfalls has arrived to Montalcino too. Fortunately, here in S.Angelo we had just a little bit of rain. The vines, thanks to the water accumulated in the soil and to the temperatures, are developing abundant vegetation.
This has forced us to do two shifts per day with the shearing machine, cimatrice in Italian, that cuts the vegetation on top of the vines.
In the meanwhile the grape bunches have grown too and we are now in the phase of pre-closure of the bunches.
