Vineyard Update: Preserving Water in the Soil

The weather is still very hot due to the African anticyclone that brought high temperatures of 7-8°C (12-14°F) above average. The vines are currently reacting well to the high temps. We are still cutting the vegetation on top of the vines to allow the vines to focus on the growth of the grape bunches. In the meantime, we continue to work the soil to maintain the reserve of accumulated water.

07.09.15 Post - Breaking Up the Soil

By breaking the superficial layer of the soil, we stop the evaporation of the water, keeping it in the soil.
