Under a Tuscan sunset: good weather but no more north wind today

We had good weather again today.

The cool north wind kept blowing through yesterday and we had a low of 15° C. and a high of 26°.

We had fair weather today but the wind is no longer blowing. And that’s too bad.

The Sangiovese grapes for our Brunello di Montalcino have continued to ripen and now were picking the central part of our estate, near the cellar.

Thanks to the weather, the 2014 harvest is proving to be very good. We have been more fortunate here than in other parts of Tuscany and the weather has been a big help to us in recent weeks.

That’s the sunset over Sant’Angelo in Colle yesterday in the photo below.
