Good morning! Cool wind and clear skies in Montalcino, ideal for harvest

Best sangiovese montalcino brunello
Today when I got up and opened my bedroom window, I couldn’t have been greeted by a better “good morning!”

A cool wind from the north had already begun to blow during the night and it was drying the humidity in the air.

Today, as you can see in the photo above, the sky is beautiful and clear.

As I wrote a few days ago, the north wind is the best natural antibiotic during the pre-harvest and harvest period. It keeps the bunches healthy and when there is botrytis, it dries the bunches and makes it harmless.

Today, we are continuing to pick Sangiovese that will be used for our Brunello and our Rosso di Montalcino, depending on the laboratory analysis of the fruit.
