Sangiovese Harvest Has Begun Despite Some Rainfall

Rose wine sangiovese roasto
Yesterday, we have begun to pick the Sangiovese grapes for our rosé "Lo Sbrancato" ("The Bronco").

We have delayed the picking because yesterday morning has come some millimeters of rainfall and the grapes must be picked when dry.

Fortunately, the inclement weather as passed around us, thus creating this light delay but keeping the vineyards dry.

The grapes are healthy, they have the right degree of sugar and excellent acidity.

After 23 hours with contact on the skins, we will "rack" the wine.
