Come taste 2012 Brunello!

As we do every year, next week we will be in the US to present the new release 2012 Brunello di Montalcino and 2015 Rosso di Montalcino. The first tasting will take place in New York at the Gotham Hall on January 17 from 1pm to 6pm. The event is strictly open to the trade until 4 pm but, new this year, it will be open to all “Brunello lovers” from 4 pm until 6 pm. Registration for the event can be made here: http://www.ieemusa.com/index.php/registration-88 The very same night we will take part in a charity dinner at Del Posto, pairing their food with the newly released Brunello 2012 from over 30 wineries. Opera Wine invitees announced…

Today the journalist Luciano Ferraro announced in Italy’s major national newspaper “Corriere della Sera” the wineries that have been selected by Wine Spectator to take part to Opera Wine. And Il Poggione is one of them – we will be pouring the Brunello di Montalcino 2006 Riserva Vigna Paganelli. This is an event that will take part the day before Vinitaly where about 100 Italian wineries (104 this year), selected by Wine Spectator will pour an older wine rated 90+ by Wine Spectator. It is an invitation-only event also for the guests, all of whom are collectors, wine lovers and trade customers.
