Il Poggione in Russia

I just came back from a short trip to Russia where I presented the Il Poggione wines.
When I left Montalcino, temperatures were above average, almost like in late spring. My first stop was Moscow, where cloudy skies and 3°C temperatures were waiting for me. Despite the weather, I decided to take a walk to the famous Red Square, which was fascinating! 11.10.14 Post - Red Square

On Thursday, November 6th, a great tasting was organized by our Russian importer in the beautiful ballroom of the Four Seasons Hotel. As you can see in the photo, we had full attendance, so a lot of people tasted our Rosso di Montalcino, Brunello and Brunello Riserva and we received rave reviews! 11.10.14 Post - Four Seasons Moscow

On November 7th, we got up at 5AM to take the train to Saint Petersburg for another great tasting at the Four Seasons Hotel there.11.10.14 Post - Four Seasons St. Petersburg

Russian wine drinkers are always looking for very high-end products. In Russia, Brunello is largely recognized as a prestigious wine, so the quality of our Brunello is highly appreciated there.
