Agriculture students visit Il Poggione

Last week the students from the High School for Agriculture in Montalcino came to Il Poggione to try the grape harvest and now that the harvest is finished, they came back on Saturday, to learn about the fermentation, the racking off, the aging and all the procedures involved in the process of transformation from the grape juice to the bottled wine.  It is very important that the students come and learn all the processes not only through books but also on the field, as one day they will hopefully be working in the wine industry.

They were guided by our head winemaker and General Manager Fabrizio Bindocci and our cellarmaster Fabio Guerrini.
